Twizzy Wizz started gaining interest in music at the age of 8 back in the year 2003 through the influence of his older sister who was also a fan of both HipHop and RnB music. By that time Twizzy Wizz got to listen music from the biggest acts of that era like Eminem, Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Dr Dre and Jay Z. It was then that he began to understand the art of HipHop music and began to appreciate it. At the age of 15 while in High School, Twizzy started writing freestyle raps and rapping to his classmates and schoolmates during free time as well as leisure time not forgetting to mention during talent shows hosted in or in the nearby schools. When performing, it made him gain the much needed confidence which motivated him into more practice everyday . When he completed his high school education, Twizzy continued lighting the flame by writing more freestyle raps and sharing his musical content to some few close friends to which he received a lot of positive feedback. This boosted his musical ambitions and his confidence in rap music grew tremendously
In 2016, Twizzy Wizz recorded his first track, "Tears". It was the start of something fresh, something new, an inspiration to the young ambitious talent. “Tears” gained popularity among friends and those who got the chance to hear the track. Twizzy had now found a new source of inspiration and this grew his skill and determination. In 2017, Twizzy embarked on a musical journey and started recording a collection of tracks which he had previously written. Some of the songs in the list included "I Never Give Up", "Lemme Do The Walk", and “Facts”.
Twizzy is currently working on his debut mixtape “2K18:The Mixtape” which is in its final stages before its release. His ambitions include the recording of several other mixtapes as well as many albums, collaboration with numerous artists with different and impeccable style of art regardless of their geographical background. Twizzy is also keen on the upbringing, mentoring and nurturing of upcoming musicians as well as recognition of artistic talent around Africa and beyond.
The story of Twizzy Wizz and Axes Music dates back to 2016 shortly after the establishment of the record label. Axes Music was looking for fresh talent to recruit into the label and Twizzy was exceptional in his work and determination. Axes Music didn’t hesitate and signed Twizzy based on this traits and talent. This was another step for Twizzy in his musical career.
